The following rituals are used when casting Higher Magic or Grand Secrets.
CH’AWE COST: 0
ACTIONS: 3 (instead of the normal 1)
Consecration is a simple process to purify the ritual tools. Vestments remain consecrated until worn by another person. The elemental tools remain consecrated until touched by another. For this reason, most sorcerers keep their elemental tools wrapped in cloth or silk until placed on the altar for a ritual.
RITUAL OF PROTECTION
CH’AWE COST: 1
This ritual allows a single sorcerer to work with in it, although others may join him in the circle. While in the circle, the caster keeps his magic resistance, even while casting a spell. All individuals receive a bonus to their resistance roll equal to the caster’s Dominate Ka modifier X3.
RITUAL OF UNITY
CH’AWE COST: 2
This ritual grants the same protections as the Ritual of Protection. However, it allows multiple sorcerers to combine their efforts to cast a spell. To fully assist, each contributing sorcerer must have at least a 10% in Higher Magic. The assisting sorcerer adds his Ka modifier for the appropriate element to the caster’s Ka total. Anyone else who has a Hermetic Lore of at least 40% adds a single point to the total. All those involved must pay the Ch’awe cost of the spell.
RITUAL OF SACRIFICE
CH’AWE COST: 3
This ritual grants the same protections as the Ritual of Protection. However, it allows the sorcerer to expend a point of dominate Ka per circle of the spell to automatically pass the Ka roll test without rolling. This process is painful to Nephilim and is used only in situations where failure would be catastrophic.
